Santa Clara vs. Pacific Prediction

Pacific just gave Gonzaga everything they could handle and are a lot better than their record indicates. Yes, their record is 10-12 this season, but they have some outstanding players on this team. Pacific will take on a Santa Clara team that has been playing some excellent basketball themselves. Even though Santa Clara beat this pacific team a couple of weeks ago, Pacific will be eager to bounce back.

We get an old fashion mid-day West Coast Conference showdown between Pacific and Santa Clara. This will be a close game throughout. While I have bet on Pacific a lot this year, they've made some very costly turnovers when it mattered the most. Now they travel to Santa Clara for a big matchup, and Pacific will want to pay Santa Clara back for what happened a couple of weeks ago. This game will be a close one, and I expect Pacific and Donovan Williams to have a great game. The Santa Clara vs. Pacific spread doesn’t indicate how good this team is, either. Pacific has been covering these spreads all season long. During Pacific's matchup against Gonzaga, they were the 20+ point underdog and had a chance to win it, but then fell apart late in the game.

Santa Clara is led by Brandin Podziemski, who has been a great scorer for them this season, whereas Oklahoma State transfer Donovan Williams leads Pacific. I love how Williams plays and can take over at any given time in the game. These two will be going at it all game. The thing that hurts Pacific is they don’t have any depth, so they play the same five players all game, and Santa Clara has a couple of guys that can come off the bench and contribute. This will be a good game, and I feel you shouldn’t be giving double-digit points in a conference game. So look for Pacific to battle throughout this game and cover this spread!
