We're at BetRivers for this one because they have the best number going. Actually, I take that back. Barstool has this same exact number and price so there is that. Two books aren't bad but on first-half college basketball totals, getting the best number is crucial. Every half-point counts people. They just do. Still, I think we'll see this thing go up a point or so throughout the day so there is that to consider when getting down now.
Radford vs. Gardner-Webb Prediction
I wish I could say this is totally about basketball but it isn't totally about basketball. The number itself just isn't great considering how the first halves of college basketball can go. Pace doesn't always matter early and that counts today since both of these teams play pretty slow. Consider this though, over their last three games, Gardner-Webb has dropped 46, 36, and 28 in each of the first halves. In each game, the first half was the highest-scoring half for them. These kids are front-running.
What makes this one great is Radford is doing the same type of stuff. Last game they dropped 41 points in the first half against Winthrop. That's a 40-burger and it's like the books don't even care. If they did that tonight it would mean Gardner-Webb would only need 17 points for us to push (math). It could happen too because the last time these teams played, they hung 61 in the first half. This could be a real butt-squeezer but by the time halftime gets here I think we should see more than 58 points on the board. Feels right.
