The Iowa State Cyclones vs. the Kansas State Wildcats will clash for a much anticipated Big 12 matchup in Manhattan, Kansas. These two teams have both turned in impressive seasons to this stage, and we know one thing they will both be competing in March Madness.

Kansas State enters play ranked No. 12 in the nation with a record of 19-7. This team was not slated to be this good coming into the year, and they have seriously overachieved. Jerome Tang should be in the conversation for coach of the year with how good of a job he has done this year. Keynote Johnson has been the star of this team, along with veteran guard Markquis Nowell. The two have led the team in scoring, and if they are both clicking, this is a team that is very difficult to beat. The Wildcats will look to snap a modest two-game losing streak today.

The Cyclones have also overachieved this year. This was not a team that many people believed in entering the season, but they have proved the doubters wrong. Iowa State is ranked 19th in the nation, and they will look to build off a blowout win over TCU this week. The Cyclones have a well-balanced attack headlined by St Bonnie’s transfer Jaren Holmes. I am all over the Wildcats here, and I expect this line to jump through the day. There are a few reasons that I like Kansas State today, but let’s start with the revenge factor. K-State lost the first meeting between the two teams, and this feels like the perfect revenge spot for the Wildcats today. Secondly, I think that the Cats match up very well across the board.
