ANALYSIS

TCU vs. Kansas Prediction, Pick, Odds: Will the Healthy Horned Frogs Knock Off the Red Hot Jayhawks?

On Saturday, we were blessed with what I thought was the college basketball game of the year at the time. What a crazy game that was, as Kansas came back after trailing the entire game to beat Baylor by 15 points. Tonight’s matchup between Kansas and TCU may top Saturdays as the game of the year, though!

TCU vs. Kansas Prediction

When the Horned Frogs are healthy, I believe they are one of if not the best team in the Big 12. That’s saying something, considering how stacked the conference is from top to bottom this season. We saw how dominant they can be with Mike Miles back in the lineup against OKST this weekend, putting up a 100-piece on the scoreboard. When healthy, that 100-75 victory depicts the Frogs’ full potential. This is your last chance to buy low on TCU before the nation becomes fully aware of their potential.

I locked in a future on them to win March Madness last week, that should depict how confident I really am in this team. They’re well coached, have Eddie Lampkin defending the paint, and a plethora of offensive weapons in their backcourt, starting with Mike Miles and Damion Baugh. When healthy, this team is capable of beating anyone.

After winning last year’s National Championship, Bill Self has reloaded the Jayhawks with plenty of talent, mainly Gradey Dick, to pair with Dajuan Harris and Jalen Wilson. This team is highly talented and holds 13 Q1 wins on the season, by far the most of any team in the country. In big games, Kansas shows up. So why are they the underdog tonight against a team that’s lost 4 of 5 and is six spots behind them in the Big 12 standings? This line is fishy. Let’s be honest though. Sportsbooks use tons of data and math to set these lines, those of which are way smarter than our eyes. Although we may believe Kansas is the better team, the algorithms being run by the books have Kansas losing tonight on the road. My point is, there’s a reason TCU is the favorite tonight, don’t fall for the trap on the Jayhawks at plus money.

Although TCU isn’t considered a basketball school, it will look like one tonight. Only a handful of tickets remain for this matchup in Fort Worth. All bets aside, if you love college basketball, this will be must-see TV on ESPN. TCU will pull off their biggest win of the season on their home floor against a Jayhawks team that has shown its humanity at times on the road. Kansas is nearly unbeatable in Lawrence, but on the road, it’s possible Gradey Dick continues to struggle in his freshman season. A healthy TCU will have too much to throw at Kansas for them to handle. Jalen Wilson won’t be able to win this game himself. The Horned Frogs are finally at full strength and are too talented.
