The Indiana Hoosiers and the Michigan State Spartans will clash from East Lansing, Michigan on Tuesday night for a Big Ten affair. This is the first home game for Michigan State since the awful tragedy of the school shooting that took place at Michigan State just over a week ago. I want to start this article by offering my thoughts and prayers for all those affected by this horrible event.

Michigan State vs Indiana Prediction

The Spartans' last game was a back-and-forth affair, but they could not pull it out as Michigan took the win at home. The Spartans are 16-10 on the season, and they have a good enough resume to make the big dance at the moment. A win over the Hoosiers tonight, however, would go a long way for their resume.

Indiana comes into this one feeling good as of late. The Hoosiers have won four of their five games in February, with their only loss coming on the road against Northwestern. The Hoosiers were the pre-season favorite in the Big Ten, and they have shown why as of late. The star of this team is big man Trayce Jackson Davis, who is having the best year of his career. TJD is averaging a team-high 20.5 points per game while ripping down 11.3 rebounds. 

I am backing the home team tonight in the Spartans. This is a game where I feel the line says that this is a Michigan State play all the way. Indiana is a better team but Michigan State has played its best basketball on its home floor and I expect that to continue tonight. One area where I feel the Spartans have an advantage is at the guard position. I expect Tom Izzo to dial up a game plan that will limit Jackson-Davis tonight and force someone else to beat them in this game. Let’s stay hot and cash in!
