When I first saw this game, I said to myself that I'll be betting on it no matter what the point spread is for the Jayhawks. Kansas is steps ahead of this Howard team. Kansas coach Bill Self is back on the sideline for them, and I expect that to be huge for this team.

Howard squeaked into the tournament, and when I say they squeaked in, I mean it. Howard was bailed out with 1-second remaining in the game on a random foul call. We would see Norfolk State in this game if that foul call never happened. Still, they made history, and they are here. Howard is walking into a different kind of atmosphere and a different kind of team with Kansas. Kansas will also have Kevin McCullar Jr. back for this game which is huge for them. They looked lost without him and Grady Dick in the last game. This is one of those games where it will be a blowout early. I feel Howard will have a lot of trouble scoring against this very active and athletic Kansas defense. Kansas will get a lot of scoring from Grady Dick in this one. This game will show the people that the Jayhawks are a force in college basketball, and I don’t think Howard has enough to keep up with Kansas.

Kansas will jump to a huge lead early and hold on late for this cover. I love this spot for Kansas; this should be an easy cover for them. Grady Dick will want to make a statement in his first March Madness game, and the Jayhawks will come out hot for Bill Self. This is the best way to back one of the best teams early on in the Tournament.
