Best March Madness Parlay Picks for Friday

Leg one: Tucker DeVries o18.5 Points

Tucker DeVries finds himself in a good matchup against a Miami team that is not getting much respect from the sportsbooks. With only a 2-point spread in a 5 vs. 12 matchup, it's clear this game should be a close one. DeVries has been very good this season, averaging 19 points per game as the lead scoring option. Miami has struggled on defense, especially against versatile guards. At 6’7, DeVries is able to score inside but also has a very consistent outside shot (averaging 2.5 3PM) and can get extremely hot from beyond the arc.

Leg two: Bryce Hopkins o14.5 Points

This one is getting popular, but I’m a sucker for a good narrative. Hopkins was recruited by Calipari and transferred out of Kentucky after a lack of playing time. Now he gets to prove to his former team exactly what they are missing on the biggest stage possible. The 6’7 forward is averaging 16.1 points per game this season, and while Kentucky isn't the best matchup, his scoring will be needed if they plan on keeping up. He played 40 minutes in their conference loss to UConn, scoring 16 points; I expect a similar stat line today.

Leg three: Vladislav Goldin o6.5 REB

FAU vs. Memphis is shaping up to be one of the more interesting first-round matchups, with only a 1.5-point spread despite Memphis coming in with plenty of momentum. With such a high total at 151, the books are clearly expecting the sparks to fly. I had a tough time deciding between the 7’1 Goldin rebounds and Davis' points + rebounds, but I think both get the job done. He’s averaging 6.4 rebounds per game in only 20 minutes per game. He gets a Memphis team that really struggles on the defensive boards and should have a couple of extra opportunities. When playing 21+ minutes, he has 7+ rebounds in seven of his last ten matchups, and I think his size will be important in this matchup.
