TCU vs. Arizona State Prediction
The Arizona State Sun Devils vs. the TCU Horned Frogs will meet tonight for the late-night game to close out a beautiful Friday slate. Arizona State proved they belonged in the tournament on Wednesday night when they blew out the Nevada Wolfpack. The game was really never close, as the Sun Devils completely controlled the game from the top.
Arizona State shot the lights out from the three-point line led by Nevada transfer Desmond Cambridge Jr. Cambridge Jr is the main reason that the Sun Devils are in this spot as he hit a half-court game-winner to knock off one of the best teams in the nation this year in the Arizona Wildcats. Head coach Bobby Hurley has done a great job with the Arizona State team, and they should be ready to go for tonight’s game.
TCU, meanwhile, could very well be the most dangerous number 6 seed in the field. The main reason for that? Mike Miles Jr. was voted as the preseason player of the Big 12. The Horned Frogs got off to a great start this season, but they did struggle at times this year when Miles Jr. was out dealing with an injury. When Miles was on the floor, this team proved they could compete with anyone in the nation. TCU is coached by Jamie Dixon, who has a lot of experience this time of year. The Horned Frogs come into play as a 5.5-point favorite.
I will be fading the public dog tonight and backing the Horned Frogs. I do not believe Arizona State will be able to maintain their hot shooting from a couple of nights ago, and TCU matches up very well with the Sun Devils in this game. The Horned Frogs are a tough team on the defensive side of the floor, and I expect the Sun Devils to struggle to score with any consistency.
