Xavier vs. Kennesaw State Prediction

Xavier comes into this game feeling great about their season. Xavier was one of the best teams in the Big East this season, as they would eventually lose in the Big East Championship to the Marquette Golden Eagles. Xavier has been led by point guard Souley Boum who has turned in a career year.

The senior has been the guy all season for the Musketeers, and if they are going to go on a run in March, he will have to be at the helm of it. Former Arizona head coach Sean Miller signed a deal with Xavier in the offseason and has lived up to his name. Miller has done an outstanding job with this team after a down year.

Kennesaw State, meanwhile, will be playing its first March madness game in school history. The Owls were one of the worst teams in college basketball three years ago, and now they are, playing in March. That is the beautiful thing about sports.

The Owls won their conference tournament and feel they can make noise and go on a Cinderella run. Junior guard Chris Youngblood leads the Owls. Youngblood is one of the more underrated players in the tournament and has enough talent to play in a power conference. Youngblood led the Owls in scoring this year, averaging 14.7 points per game. The Owls will rely heavily on Youngblood in this game.

I will be backing the dog and running with the points here. I am surprised that we are seeing a line this large, but I am happy about it. I watched this team play a lot this season, and the one thing I am confident in is that they will compete hard in this game and give everything that they have for forty minutes. Xavier is obviously the more gifted team, but I think the Owls match up well here and should be able to hold their own in this game. I expect Chris Youngblood to show the nation how great he is today and lead us to a cover! Let’s keep rolling and cash in!
