Amari Bailey Over 12.5 Points (-115) (Bet $118 to collect $218) Best odds available at DraftKings; click here to bet
SGP: Amari Bailey 15+ Points + UCLA Moneyline (+215) (Bet $100 to collect $315) Best odds available at DraftKings; click here to bet
Amari Bailey has officially entered the very center of head coach Mick Cronin's circle of trust. The freshman wing finished with 17 points in 30 minutes in UCLA's opening-round victory over UNC Asheville. Those marks each tied Jaime Jaquez for the Bruins' team lead.
In a game that is expected to be more competitive, it wouldn't be a surprise to see Amari approach his season-high of 37 minutes, set in the Pac-12 championship game against Arizona. The 32-36 minute range is certainly a reasonable expectation for UCLA's second option. With 17+ points in three of his last four games, these lines are too low for Bailey.
Amari has scored at least 13 points in eight of 12 games when seeing 28+ minutes this season, including one miss at 12 on the dot. He averaged 14.8 PPG in these games, attempting at least 12 shots in seven of them. We've seen him get going against strong defenses like Arizona and Colorado lately, so look for Bailey to continue thriving in an expanded role against Northwestern today.
Jeremy Roach Over 13.5 Points (-122) (Bet $122 to collect $222) Best odds available at FanDuel; click here to bet
Jeremy Roach is the driver of Duke's offense. Kyle Filipowski may be the more intriguing NBA prospect. But, at the college level, Roach is undoubtedly the team's most reliable shot-creator.
The 6-foot-1 guard has been on a tear lately, scoring 13+ points in eight of his last nine games. He's putting up 16.4 points on a healthy 12.2 FGA and 3.3 FTA per game during this stretch. He's consistently seeing 35+ minutes of action.
Roach has scored at least 13 points in 16 of 23 games when seeing at least 30 minutes this season, averaging 15.3 PPG in this sample. He's been Duke's only offense at some points in games against high-level defenses, and the Blue Devils should rely on him heavily once again today. Coming off of back-to-back 23-point performances, I love the value on Roach against the Tennessee Volunteers.
