The UFC is back for their third card of 2022, and we have a main event tomorrow with significant title implications. Jack "The Joker" Hermansson (22-6) takes on Sean "Tarzan" Strickland (24-3) in the middleweight division, with the winner looking very close to a title shot. Hermansson has been on a win-one lose-one over his past four fights and is looking to end that trend with a win against the red-hot Strickland, who wants to extend his win streak to six tomorrow night.
Betting on UFC fights can differ from other sports because there is no spread to even the odds, only the moneyline, and props. For this reason, UFC handicappers will often bet their favorite matchups that have higher odds together in a parlay as a way to increase the return on investment and stay away from betting heavily juiced lines. I will be doing that with my favorite matchups for tomorrow night. There will still be straight bets that I bet tomorrow, but I will be tweeting those. Let's dive into the parlay.

Leg 1: Brendan Allen ML
The first leg of the parlay brings us to talented Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu artist Brendan Allen (17-5) and his matchup against veteran Sam Alvey (33-16-1). Alvey is a power puncher who hasn't been able to quite find that power lately, as he's gone 0-6-1 in his last seven and hasn't had his hand raised since 2018.
Allen is an up-and-coming grappling connoisseur who won and defended the LFA title before joining the UFC. Since then, he has gone 5-2 in the promotion and wants to bounce back after a KO loss to Chris Curtis in December. The one thing that slightly scares me in this matchup is Alvey's power. However, it appears his power may be fading with his age since he hasn't been able to notch a KO victory in four years. I doubt Allen will be knocked out here, and his grappling game is skilled enough to handle Alvey. I will be taking Brendan Allen to bounce back from his loss and extend Alvey's losing streak.
Leg 2: Shavkat Rakhmonov Inside the Distance
The second leg of the parlay brings us to possibly the most exciting unranked fighter in the Welterweight division, Shavkat Rakhmonov. Rakhmonov (14-0) is an undefeated dangerous fighter who has only seen the third round one time, and tomorrow he matches up against Carlston Harris (17-4). Rakhmonov is coming off an imposing win against Michel Prazeres, where his submission win was the first time Prazeres was finished in his 29 fight career. Rakhmonov is a well-polished striker with a significant advantage on the feet with higher power and precision. Even if Harris looks to get it to the ground, Rakhmonov has a dominant submission game that can end this one. Harris is out-matched no matter where the fight goes, in my opinion. Rakhmonov should take this one inside the distance.
Leg 3: Hakeem Dawodu ML
The last leg of the parlay takes us to the prelims, where Hakeem Dawodu (12-2-1) takes on Michael Trizano (10-1). Dawodu is an impressive Muay Thai fighter who started 7-0-1 in WSOF with six of those wins by knockout. Dawodu saw his five-fight win streak snapped in his last fight against Movsar Evloev, which was a horrible stylistic matchup for Dawodu. Dawodu was controlled entirely on the ground and couldn't find much on the feet as a result. This fight plays much more into his style. Trizano is a TUF alumnus who has also had a successful start to his UFC career. However, Dawodu has fought more higher-profile fighters and has shown more advanced and powerful striking. Without the threat of being taken down, Dawodu is undoubtedly set to thrive in this one, and he will have his hand raised tomorrow night. That caps off the 3-leg parlay and I hope everyone enjoys the winning play for the entertaining UFC card tomorrow. Good luck to everyone who tails the play!
