UFC Vegas 49 Play of the Day: Tail this 2-Leg UFC Parlay at -120

This Saturday's UFC is the quintessential example of a lineup that hardcore and gambling degenerates can love, but one that is also completely inaccessible to everyone else. To say this card has no name or star power is the understatement of the year. If you are trying to make money, however, there are a few spots that are ripe with opportunity and value. Here is a breakdown of just a little bit of those locks that absolutely can't falter in my eyes and why they have the potential to line your pockets this week to boot.

UFC Vegas 49 Parlay

Ramiz Brahimaj

The second fight of the night consists of a slightly derailed prospect in Ramiz Brahimaj, taking on your neighborhood pizza delivery driver in Micheal "The Gentlemen" Gilmore. Jokes aside, the man that should have gone with "Happy" as a nickname is really that bad when it comes to fighting in cages or more so in his native habitat: the bingo hall.

Boasting a record of 6-4, with 3 of those Ls coming by some way of submission, it's no secret the UFC seems to be using this journeyman as a stepping stone for the grappling anaconda that is Ramiz. Mr. Brajimaj is part of the new wave of talent popping out of esteemed violence factory Fortis MMA, who looks to use his IBJJF championship background to choke his opponents out.

The 29-year old already has 9 submission wins into his MMA career, with 8 of those victories being in the very 1st round. If Brajimaj hadn't taken a unanimous decision loss to Court McGee over a month ago, I believe he would be coming into this matchup at -1000. Even though it is short notice against Gillmore, Ramiz should end both of their nights early and walk away with a performance bonus as I see him finishing this jobber put in front of him in the 1st round with either a submission or TKO from ground and pound.

Jonathan Martinez

Moving on to something that isn't a total wash, in the more competitive matchup we have Jonathan "The Dragon" Martinez taking on Alejandro "Turbo" Perez. This is a fight that should stay standing up, for the most part. I'm siding with the more crafty and elusive southpaw in Martinez to win the exchanges against the stockier, clumsier Alejandro Perez.

Barring an in-cage injury or a fluky mishap of some kind, Jonathan cruises to an easy unanimous decision, if he doesn't end up with a debilitating TKO. With his diverse set of kicks, superb feinting, and just not having to worry about a significant takedown threat of any kind,  "The Dragon" has this in the bag and covers his price tag easily.

At the end of the day, I understand these 2 locks are somewhat chalky, but the juice is well worth the squeeze in this scenario so do look to play them straight or parlay them for a playable number as frankly, they are both front-running conquerors that cannot, and will not, miss.
