UFC Fight Night Prediction: Luque vs. Muhammad 2 Main Card Best Bet
Although we were supposed to be treated to a strikers delight this coming Saturday in the form of Zaleski Dos Santos and Mounir Lazzez, we are instead bracing for a dramatic restructuring of the card as Santos withdraws from the event entirely and has now been substituted with perennial bridesmaid Ange "The Last Samurai" Loosa in what aims to be a trivial affair. I've never been a fan of matching two surging young prospects amongst one another. It screams nepotism and fear amongst the matchmakers at the end of the day. That being said, on paper, this should constitute being an absolute slobberknocker wherever the fight goes, back and forth mat returns running rampant, and what have you.

As his name indicates, Loosa is very liberal in his striking defense, allowing himself to be backed into a corner and get pressed by the more active, versatile power puncher he happens to go up against. Unfortunately, he is also of slightly below average stature for the weight class, so he will have to push the pace and subsequent action and get in his opponent's face for once if he is to have any success whatsoever in the stand up department. Thankfully, his bread and butter require nothing on the feet, as he is an above proficient chain grappler. Instead, he looks to use his explosive shot entries to handicap his adversaries and leave them in a state of perpetual choke defense. Expect Loosa to throw a bunch of nothing shots at Lazzez, adjustment or not, where he will then use those non-strikes as setups for the inevitable takedown.

On the other side of the spectrum, you have Mounir Lazzez and all of his middle-eastern striking glory in almost all facets of the game. This Tunesian Tornado packs a wallop in his thunderous kicks and relentless overall demeanor. However, even though he is lanky and versatile in the standup, his takedown defense is very sus, and he likes to play the bottom game when the opponent piledrives him to the floor.
Combine Loosa's iron chin with Lazzez's penchant for being a wet noodle in the grappling exchanges, and you have a recipe for the fight to go the distance. But, as always, go for the two and a half instead of that whole distance prop as it's virtually the same price, and to avoid bad judgment or don't listen to me at all and go full send, this is hitting.
