After securing undisputed super middleweight supremacy following his latest win over Caleb Plant, the Thanos of boxing aims to continue his pillage of belts as he moves up to 175 pounds, where he is to be welcomed back into the big boy divisional landscape by a man giving off legitimate Golovkin vibes as well as all sporting an undefeated record and a distinguished amateur career to add insult to injury.
While some of the more tried and true skeptics argue this is just yet another human sacrifice for the Mexican Industrial Complex that is Canelos obscene and historic tenure, others (like myself) don't quite see the situation being that black and white. As previously stated, Bivol will have any and all size attribute advantages and the comfortability of the bout taking place in his native weight class. He will have every genetic predisposition no question, however, there is one key element that Canelo will have up his sleeve that just might prove to be the great equalizer: money.
To put it simply, if Canelo is to somehow lose this contest, no one is getting paid. The entire economy of Mexico will collapse and numerous Boxing foundations will cease to exist if the A side of this situation does not bring home the bacon. It's a damn shame that we must think in this analytical/pessimistic tone but in light of recent egregious robberies and Canelos own past fight history, one would assume a miracle or straight knockout is going to be necessary for his future adversaries to win a fight with the pride of South America at this point.
Give me Canelo to not only have the backing of the judges but to elude any real moments of danger and subsequently cruise his way into a comfortable decision.
