Amanda Ribas vs. Katlyn Chookagian Prediction: Trust Chookagian's Consistency

In what seems to be an unceremonious affair we have Katlyn Blonde Fighter Chookagian (yes that's actually her nickname) taking on Amanda "Simp Queen" Ribas. What immediately sticks out to me in this fight, like what first comes to mind when I set my eyeballs on it is "Katlyn is still employed? I thought she got cut?" Even though she won her previous bout by yet another unanimous decision I was under the impression that the UFC was so sick of her inability to draw with a green crayon that she in fact got cut from sheer boredom. Here is my prediction, pick, and the odds for Amanda Ribas vs. Katlyn Chookagian.

Amanda Ribas vs. Katlyn Chookagian Prediction

I was misinformed however as she battles the slightly derailed hype train in Amanda Ribas. It seems like this Brazilian Bombshell has the complete opposite conundrum when juxtaposed with Chookagian: she draws immensely but fails to move up the title picture in any significant or meaningful way when push comes to shove.

Even though she bounced back with a dub over the Rob Schnieder of MMA Virna Jandiroba a few months prior, who can forget when the judoka was absolutely starched in devastating fashion by Marina Rodriguez to kick off the year. Similar to Edmen Shahbazyan, the prospect got off to a great start and received a lot of fanfare, only for it to come crashing down the moment their strength of schedule leveled up on the big stage.

Some interesting tidbits to take note of is that Amanda Ribas has good fundamentals just about anywhere, while also possessing physical attributes that give her a leg up in her competition, well at least when she was at Strawweight.

She moves up to flyweight to take on Chookagian, who is notorious for having the longest, Skeletor-esque frame of the weight clasa in which she utilizes it to overarching success. Ribas has also shown to be rather chinny, being stopped in both her losses horrifically and over the course of a few years. Chookagian is a great all-around Jack of all trades master of none fighter who doesn't have punching power or insane athleticism but makes up for it by being proficient in just about everything.

So when it's all said and done who leaves with the #1 spot in the women's 125 division? If you could probably already guess I lean Chookagian quite heavily as she has delivered with consistent results and mammoth victories. Sure she's extremely dull to watch, but if you're trying to win a bet she could be the visual equivalent of paint drying I wouldn't care. I'm trying to profit. Expect Chookagian to piece up Ribas at range and be up in the strike count on route to a clear cut decision dub, but don't be shocked if she actually gets a finish for once as Ribas's aforementioned durability issues could give her problems once more.
