Sure Kai in particular has risen above and beyond in his last few attempts to even get into this position, but will that be enough to fall the Lego man? The answer is…… perhaps. While on paper their first fight yielded similar striking totals, I find myself hard pressed to actually give France a shot the second time around after actually watching the damn tape back. The fact of the matter is Moreno was quite utterly dog walking the man in certain points, with the Mexican literally taunting Kai as he slipped his tired shots up until the scorecards were read.
Besides Moreno having the crisper and more successful unorthodox striking, another thing he has going for him coming into the bout is his insane ground game. Yes, maybe the most improved part of Kai's mixed martial arts acumen may in fact be his takedown defense, but I think someone who was able to tear Devison Figuredo down to the mat multiple times should have relatively no issue with imposing his wrestling will on a step down in competition like Mr. France.
While the over is a good bet I am ultimately going to wager Moreno's moneyline as I think he's going to be the minute winner throughout five rounds and has the potential to maybe even stop France late in the fight with a submission once Kai has been exhausted in multiple departments. A vote for Moreno is a vote for Mexico and a larger bank account.
