Danny Garcia vs Jose Benavidez Jr. Prediction
Benavidez has never really touched gold outside of a minuscule interim, and apart from that does not have any distinguished victories in the squared circle. He does however have the advantage of taking a fight already at this weight, going to a draw in a performance that could very well be synonymous with his career: painfully average. Apart from a left hook, Garcia has managed to get by on his athleticism and athleticism alone.
Personally, I don't see his strength translating all that well at 154 so with not-so-great power comes even greater responsibility to not swing with reckless abandonment inside the pocket and remain tactical. In the end, while not mattering I still am going to side with Danny Garcia as his resume speaks for itself and he should be able to outbox Benavidez.
The only unknown is going to be the transition in weight but knowing him and his camp, he should be able to pass that hurdle and this matchup with flying colors and then some.
