In a breakthrough display of euphoric matchmaking Vicente "Brazillian Bomber" Luque goes toe to toe against "Jon Jones 2.0" Geoff Neal. Luque is fresh off his humiliating defeat over the goat of 170, Belal Muhammed.
Neal is coming from a questionable "victory" against enhancement talent Santiago Ponzinibbio. Although he's entering this contest on a dub, I wholeheartedly believe his stock is at an all-time low due to his wacky antics outside the cage, getting arrested for a DUI, as well as illegal arms possession just a week prior to his penultimate fight.
This just screams to the public as being a great value Jon Jones, a problematic youth but with a fraction of the accolades. Although Luque is reappearing after a tumultuous loss, he was in large part just positionally controlled, not really getting dominated in the damage department but being outstruck and hustled nonetheless. At the end of the day I don't believe Luques' best days are behind him, and the matchup this Saturday is going to prove to the world that he's still got that dog in him.
Although it's tempting to pick Neal because of the odds, give me Vicente to quell the Striker in Geoff's early onslaught, vaporizing him as the rounds go on and ultimately securing the bag in the 3rd.
