Adriano Moraes vs. Demetrious Johnson Prediction
Adriano Moraes (20-3)
The final competitor to make their way down to the cage, Friday night is ONE Flyweight Champion, Adriano Moraes.
The Brazilian champion joined ONE in 2013 as an undefeated 24-year-old up-and-comer and would immediately be stopped in his tracks as he would lose his promotional debut to Yusup Saadulaev. Following the first professional loss of his career, Moraes would rattle off four-straight victories, including capturing the ONE flyweight title, however, Moraes would lose his title to Kairat Akhmetov before quickly going right back on another four-straight winning streak which saw him become a two-time ONE Flyweight Champion. Again, however, Moraes would lose the title to Geje Eustaquio via split-decision but like Moraes always has, he'd immediately get his win back and become a three-time champion.
Moraes looks to go on yet another four-fight win streak when he faces Johnson, this Friday night.
Demetrious Johnson (23-4-1)
Standing across from Moraes will be the future UFC Hall of Famer, Demetrious Johnson.
Following a shocking decision loss to Henry Cejudo which saw his seven-year title reign end, 'Mighty Mouse' departed the UFC for ONE Championship in 2019 as part of the first-ever major MMA 'trade' which saw Ben Askren go over to the UFC after an undefeated run in ONE. After winning his first three bouts in his new home, Johnson earned himself a shot at Moraes and the 125-pound title, unfortunately for Johnson, he was knocked out for the first time in his career by the Brazilian.
Johnson hasn't competed since his defeat against Moraes and is looking for his first title fight win since successfully defending the UFC flyweight strap against Ray Borg in October 2017.
