Alas, the UFC is taking a much-deserved break between sets as there is no fight night or PPV to be had on Saturday night. Instead, we are left with Bellator, the regional MMA circuit, and perhaps Streetbeefs if that tickles your fancy in order to facilitate any and all needs violent and visceral. There is however one last resort coming out of the Dana White industrial complex that might satisfy your carnal desire for blood and that is The Tuesday Night Contender Series. Down below, Lightning Locks is here to once again provide you with a play that cannot miss and will leave you delighted and chock-full of a healthy bankroll, radiating with bliss.

Dana White Contender Series Week 9 Prediction

Raul Rosas Jr. is a Mexican Weight prospect fighting in tandem and out of Eddie Bravo's 10th planet jiu-jitsu. This immaculate 135er is just 17, yes you heard that right, 17 years of age, making him the youngest UFC signing since that of good old Chase Hooper over 2 years prior. This kid is so young into the frey as a matter of fact Dana personally had to sign the kids work permit so he doesn't get convicted of child exploitation or violate any minor labor laws. Memes and dreams definitely aside, the lad fights well beyond his years, facilitating a strong grappling base and ferocious ground and pound game when he enviably takes his opponents to the pavement or cage.

He takes on, Mario Gutierrez, a 5 foot 6 stocky journeyman who looks to spoil the fun and the newest hot commodity in Rosas. Ironically enough Gutierrez also employs solid grappling fundamentals, not really prioritizing his standup but more implementing a grinding out slow burn approach whenever coming into contact with his in-octagon adversaries.

Now when the cows find their way home and brass tax is finally come down upon, who takes home the dub and the contract Tuesday night? While logic dictates that the full-grown man in Gutierrez should absolutely big brother Rosas from a puberty standpoint alone, I'm going to go the other way and elect that Raul gets the job done.

The fact of the matter is while being only 17 years young, Rosas is going to tower over Mario in not just the reach but the height aspect as well, standing 5 foot 9 over the boomers generous 5 foot 5 frame of length. Give me the Mexican masochist in Raul Rosas Jr to takedown Super Mario at will, softening him up in the 1st round and eventually finding a submission by the end of the second.
