Leah McCourt vs. Dayana Silva Prediction

Dayana Silva is coming in off an impressive win over Janay Harding. When I watched this fight, I was very much impressed. She looked very good in all areas and really dominated Harding. She comes into this fight with a 10-7 record and faces off with England's own Leah McCourt who is 6-2 in her short career. McCourt is a fighter who came in with a lot of hype in her last fight. But her hype was easily derailed. I was against her last fight also. I really don't think McCourt has it to be honest. She has some good skills but most of her wins have come against low-level women fighters.

This fight will be a step up in competition for McCourt. Silva has fought the best that Bellator has had to offer. She fought Julia Budd to a split decision and in my opinion, she won that fight. She also has a close loss to Jennifer Maia who just fought for the 125lb title in the UFC. Silva is a very good fighter. Her biggest weakness is she is not the greatest at getting off her back. But I honestly don't see this being a problem versus McCourt at all. Silva will be the bigger fighter and the way more experienced fighter in this matchup. McCourt has shown that she doesn't do well when someone pressures her up against the cage. I expect Silva's game plan is to go after McCourt all fight and keep her on her back foot.

In reality, I honestly don't see where McCourt is better. The only shot McCourt has is to take down Silva. But I really expect Silva to be way too strong for that to happen. Bellator Women's fights aren't the most joy-able fights to watch. But this line is off in my opinion. When I saw this line, I felt it was a trap. But the more I look at it, the oddsmaker are just going off the hype of McCourt and to be honest, she is not that great of a fighter. She has skills versus the lower level of women's MMA. But Silva is the next level and she is just not there yet. Look for Silva to get a comfortable decision in this one.
