Stuart Durst is back, bringing us his favorite college football bet for this weekend. In Week 12, Stuart is breaking down his Utah vs. Oregon prediction and pick

Oregon vs. Utah Prediction: Can the Ducks Hold off the Utes in This Pac-12 Showdown?

This week, we have a couple of very exciting college football games to enjoy. As we edge closer and closer to bowl season, teams should be playing at absolutely 100% in order to improve those resumes to the best of their abilities. Whether it's marquee divisional games or long-standing rivalries, we have you covered on some of the best college football action going down this weekend. Both Oregon and Utah are playing for huge opportunities and I'm excited to both watch, and to bet on this game.

Oregon vs. Utah Prediction

Oregon vs. Utah odds

Ok guys… we have the fourth ranked team in the nation playing the 24th ranked team, guess who’s favored? Ok, Utah. Not what most would have suspected, must be a pick’em right? Wrong, Utah is currently favored by 3 points going against the number four team in the country right now. I'm sure you guys can already tell these national media ranking polls may not matter as much as ESPN talking heads want them too.

This will probably be the Pac-12’s most-watched game of the season, with fans across the country wondering, can the committee really shove Oregon into the playoffs? While Oregon would still have to beat rival Oregon State next week, Utah is their biggest game of the season.

Utah is coming off a 38-29 win over Arizona, which is their third consecutive win. Since benching former quarterback Charlie Brewer, who has since left the program, this Utah team has gotten significantly better. With Brewer, this team started the season 1-2, but since benching him they are 6-1. Cameron Rising has been playing good football and keeping the mistakes to a minimum. Rising has thrown for 14 touchdowns this season and only 2 interceptions while racking up 1752 passing yards and 321 rushing yards.

While historically Oregon owns more wins between these two Pac-12 teams, Utah has won three of the last four head-to-head matchups and now has home-field advantage. Utah has won 17 of its last 18 home games and I expect the home-field advantage to be huge this week, with Oregon playing under the brightest lights they have had to deal with this season.
