Oklahoma vs. Oklahoma State odds

Oklahoma State vs. Oklahoma Prediction

This is one of the best rivals in college football, and it will be at an all-time high with the Big 12 championship on the line. The Sooner have dominated this series as of late winning sixteen of their last eighteen battles. The Sooners have scored an average of 46.8 points verse this Cowboys defense since 2015.

Oklahoma State will be out to prove they are a different team than what they have shown the last few seasons. This is one of the best defenses in all of the nations in the Oklahoma State Cowboys, while they also present an average offense that likes to run the football and control the clock to give this high-powered defense some breathers. This Oklahoma State defense has proved to be one of the best in the business, ranking number three in the nation in total defense. The Cowboys just allow 267 yards a game as they will look to continue the stellar play facing the Sooners today.

This Oklahoma team came into this season with high expectations with star quarterback Spencer Rattler. Rattler was one of the favorites to win the Heisman coming into the season, but he will have a headset on and play the backup quarterback role in this game. Rattler's play was not up to par despite playing to an undefeated record, and head coach Lincoln Riley called the bullpen in backup quarterback Caleb Williams. Williams, who is projected to be a Heisman finalist at some point during his collegiate career, will be tasked with facing one of the best defenses in the nation.

We know this is not the typical Oklahoma team that spreads it out on offense and gets into a track meet with every opponent. This Oklahoma offense will look to run the football, play some solid defense, and grind this game out. The Oklahoma defense has been a bright spot all season, presenting one of the better defensive fronts in all of the sport. Despite not being as electric as some past seasons, make no mistake about this Oklahoma team on the offensive side of things; they are ranked thirty-first in the county, averaging 441.6 yards per game. This is a great offense when right, and they will need to be great again this weekend if they want to play for a Big 12 championship.

I love the Sooners in this spot today getting the points. I fully expect this to be a tight game from start to finish. I believe this is the type of football game you take the points and run. The Sooner's offense should give the Sooners their toughest test to date and be able to put up enough points to get a cover in this game. I believe this Oklahoma defense matches up well with the Cowboy offense and will limit their production tonight. I will be backing the road dog tonight, which I think wins outright.
