Georgia vs. Alabama Prediction

It is time for the best college football game of the season. The CFP National Championship is finally here, and what a battle we have for tonight. A pair of heavyweights square off under the lights as the Georgia Bulldogs and Alabama Crimson Tide battle it out.

Georgia comes into this game fresh off a blowout win over the Michigan Wolverines, while Alabama comes into this one off a pretty convincing win over the Cincinnati Bearcats.

The Crimson Tide, led by head coach Nick Saban, have made being in the National Championship a regular occurrence. Alabama has won six National Championships since 2010 and has been one of the best dynasty's that college football has ever seen. They look to continue their winning ways tonight and add some more hardware to their storied university.

The Georgia Bulldogs have been competitive over the last decade, even reaching a CFP National Championship, but they have not won a title since 1980. It has been a long time since Georgia fans could celebrate, and head coach Kirby Smart will look to change the narrative tonight.

These two teams battled a few weeks ago in the SEC Championship Game, where Georgia came in as the favorite. Georgia jumped out to a 10-0 lead, and it looked like they might finally get to Alabama and knock them off. Unfortunately for the Bulldogs, the rest of the game was one-sided, and Georgia got blown out of the water.

Alabama had a lot of positives during that game, but the one negative was the loss of their star wide receiver and best playmaker, John Metchie. Metchie will miss tonight's National Championship Game as well, which will be a big blow for the Crimson Tide. Georgia was lit up on defense in the last game, which is out of character as they were one of the best defenses we've seen in the last few seasons. This is a defense that allows less than ten points a game and will look to get back to form tonight. The Bulldogs will have revenge on their minds after losing the SEC title game in blowout fashion.

The pick I am turning to in this game tonight is the Georgia Bulldogs -2.5. I absolutely love the line we are getting in this game and believe it is an overreaction to the SEC Championship.

I am always of the mindset that it's extremely difficult to beat a team two times, especially in a short span. This Georgia team is the more talented team. This is one of the best defenses college football has ever seen, period. Bryce Young is an outstanding quarterback, but I believe he can be sped up and forced into a couple of mistakes against this exceptional defense.

I love this play because Alabama is a public darling tonight. I understand it, people see points with Nick Saban and go crazy, but I believe the line is off and should be even more toward Georgia. I love to fade the public dog in this position tonight.

I think the game plan from Kirby Smart will be to shut down the run of the Tide and force Bryce Young to beat them in a game where Alabama becomes predictable. I believe we will see Georgia dominate the line of scrimmage in this game and be able to establish the run. I love Georgia's style and think we see them dominate in this game tonight. Georgia gets revenge for the SEC Championship, and they will win their first National Championship since 1980 tonight.
