We are about one month away from the rerun of college football. Last year was a fun season that ended with Georgia raising the trophy as national champions. This year will be another great year with a lot of teams looking to rise to the top.
Georgia and Alabama are expected to be the two best teams again this season, but there are a lot of teams out there who do believe that. One of those teams is USC.
USC is one of the most storied programs in college football history, but they have fallen on some tough times as of late. This is a team that has not been in the college football playoffs yet but will look to flip the script on that this season. Whether you love or hate them, college football is better when USC is competitive. They will be competitive this season and have a chance to win a national championship.
Caleb Williams Heisman Watch Prediction
A huge reason for that is starting quarterback Caleb Williams. USC had a lot of activity go down in the off-season. Former Oklahoma head coach Lincoln Riley inked a contract to take over USC, and he brought his star QB with him. USC also landed a pair of star wideouts in Jordan Addison and Mario Williams. Travis Dye was also added, who was a former star running back at Oregon. The bottom line is this team is loaded.
I am taking Caleb Williams to win Heisman. The first reason is this offense is loaded. Addison was one of the best wideouts in college last year at Pitt, and Mario Williams is a matchup nightmare. I have not even mentioned Brenden Rice, who is the son of Jerry Rice. He would be a lot of teams' number one. He is the number three for the Trojans. He will have a good run game that opens up the pass and a line that should protect him.
I also think that the schedule Williams plays will be favorable. The PAC12 is not known for its defense, and USC will be dropping big numbers all season long in the conference.
