UConn vs. Utah State Prediction: Can Logan Bronner Lead the Aggies' Offense to Victory Against the Huskies?
If you're going to bet on all of the games this Saturday then that means you have to be the UConn/Utah State game. It's on the schedule and there are lines posted for it so it's go time. We don't make the rules. The thing is, sometimes the best games are the ones that look the worst. I know that sounds dumb but sometimes we have to tell ourselves dumb stuff to get us through each day. This just so happens to be the dumb thing we are telling ourselves today. The thing about this dumb thing is, it might be borderline true. For starters, this game will be on at 4:00 pm this Saturday on Fox Sports 1. We're going to need it too because the only other game on at that time will be Illinois/Wyoming. There's nothing wrong with a little back and forth on the remote control. Maybe even do a split screen jumpoff. It's up to us. Never forget that a game doesn't have to be good for us to bet on it. That's a myth and one that will be on full display this Saturday. Here are our picks, predictions, and odds for Saturday's game between the Utah State Aggies vs. UConn Huskies.

UConn Huskies vs Utah State Aggies Pick
Utah State Team Total Over 23.5 * First Half (+105) (Bet $100 to win $105)
*Odds available at DraftKings at time of publishing*
We're at DraftKings for this one and if we're being honest (we are), we'll probably be there for most of the day this Saturday. At the moment, they are the only book I see with team totals for halves and quarters. Not trying to be difficult here but those markets are ridiculously fun so not having a book that offers them is a tough sell for me. From what I remember, BetMGM and FanDuel offered these markets last season so they may post closer to kickoff.
UConn Huskies vs Utah State Aggies Prediction
By the time this one kicks we should already have a +140 win in our pockets from the Nebraska first-quarter team total move (+140 nbd). As I said earlier, we'll need something in the 4:00 pm ET slot since there is only one other game going on at that time. It will be our first "two games at the same time" opportunity of the season so it's important to nail it. Plus we'll be fiending for this thing to start since it will have likely been our first taste of action since 1:00 pm ET. That's like three hours. We need a banger here.
The haters are going to say that Utah State lost a ton of production from last season and they're right. But as always, haters don't tell the whole story. It's just how they operate and it's disgusting. First off, the Aggies lost a lot of guys but they still have quarterback Logan Bonner. It's not like they're bringing some kid off the street in here. On top of that, they've got Calvin Tyler Jr. at running back. Talk about being under the radar, look him up. He's filthy. All we need at this point is Brian Cobbs and Justin McGriff to step up at wide receiver and we're looking at a team that can score a few points.
But this pick isn't really about Utah State as much as it's about the UConn Huskies. I bet there are high school teams out there that could beat this group. I'm serious. This team got beat by UMass and Holy Cross last year. In their first game of the season, they were down 31-0 at the half. In fact, they gave up at least 24 points in the first half of each of their first four games. They may have had a couple of close games in the middle of the season but they ended the year by giving up 40+ points in each of their last four games. I'm not trying to be mean here, but I bet these kids get smashed this Saturday. I'm thinking a 30-point first half isn't out of the question.
