Thursday Week 1 College Football Pick, Prediction: Don't Miss This Best Bet for Missouri vs Louisiana Tech
I was just going to call it a day and wait for college football to come on. We're about six hours away so it's totally fine to just go sit on the couch and wait for the games to start. People do that all the time. But one thing I've learned over the years is before you finalize your gambling card for the night, always go back through the lines and make sure you didn't miss anything. Everyone knows that. Lucky for us, we're all getting rewarded for my due diligence because I struck gold when I went back in. I'm no firefighter but this has to be the same exact feeling one of those guys gets when they run back into a burning building and pull someone out. This could actually be the greatest bet of all time.

Missouri vs Louisiana Tech Pick
Matthew Downing Over 1.5 TDs (+156) (Bet $100 to win $165)
*Odds available at FanDuel at time of publishing*
Alright so DraftKings has this one but they're only offering +145. That's fine and all if you have to play there but if you have FanDuel as an option, that's where you need to be. We're talking +156 over there which is pure magic. I checked around some other shops but I couldn't find college football player props. I won't stop looking but for now, it looks like we've got two options.
Missouri Tigers vs Louisiana Tech Bulldogs Prediction
The passing touchdowns market is always a tough one but if conditions are right, I feel like it's not too dumb. Of course, it will always stink to watch a running back carry a ball in or even worse a defensive/special teams touchdown. I get that but the Louisiana Tech/Missouri game looks to be safe from all that. We have a situation where one team is expected to beat the other team down which is perfect. If we can get the team that's getting smoked to score a couple of times, then we should be good. Especially with an Air Raid squad.
Now Matt Downing hasn't played much in college but I think that'll be fine. Even though he's never thrown for two touchdowns in a game at this level, I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt. The kid went to Georgia and TCU but couldn't get on the field. None of that is his fault. There were just better options. Happens to the best of us. The good news is, he's been reunited with his former coach, Sonny Cumbie and I'm pretty sure he's going to air it out all night tonight.
Two things are going to help us here; one being the fact that Louisiana Tech should trail for most of this one which should force them to pass. The other thing is, that Missouri's defense gives up points. They're good at it. In fact, they gave up at least 23 points in every game they played last season. I'm just saying that even though they should win this game handily, I bet Louisiana Tech finds the end zone a couple of times, and their running game isn't great. That means touchdown passes people. The fact that we only need two for a +156 payday makes it even better. We might be the first ballot Gambling Hall of Famers after this one.
