The bottom line is that this is a legit Utah program. Their QB from last year, Cameron Rising, will be the man under center again this year. Rising should be one of the best QBs in the nation this year and has a lot of weapons at his disposal. Utah was also a very good defense a season ago and will look to continue that narrative this year.
Florida is coming off a brutal season a year ago that caused them to move on to a new head coach. Florida went 6-7 last year, having their first losing season since 2017. Billy Napier will take over this Florida team and look to change the culture back to a winning way. Florida will start the year with Anthony Richardson as their signal caller. Richardson has a ton of talent and will have a lot of weapons on this Gator's offense. The real issue last year was on the defensive side of the football, but this is a much better-looking defense roster this year.
I am backing the home dog here tonight. I love this Utah team but getting three points in the swamp with Florida is a no-brainer to me. This team was embarrassed last year, and they will look to get a bad taste out of their mouth with a win to kick off the season. The talent is there for Florida it will just be a matter of execution as the game goes on. The energy in the building will be electric, and that will help get the Gators over the hump to kick off the season.
