Texas vs. Alabama Prediction, Pick, Odds: Can Heisman Hopeful Bryce Young Lead Alabama To A Win in Texas?
Texas vs. Alabama Prediction, Pick, Odds: Can Quinn Ewers Help Texas Earn Massive Home Win?
The Alabama Crimson Tide started the regular season with a 55-0 win over the Utah State Aggies. However, Alabama's next game is no cakewalk. They'll take on the Texas Longhorns, on the road, in what should be the most watched game on Saturday. The Longhorns turned heads with a 52-10 win over UL Monroe. Texas wants to be at Alabama's level. They haven't got there yet under Steve Sarkisian. With a win over Alabama, that would change everything, especially with Ewers under center. Is it realistic to think Texas has a chance against Alabama in Week 2? Here are our picks, predictions, and odds for Saturday's game between the Alabama Crimson Tide vs. Texas Longhorns.

Texas Longhorns vs. Alabama Crimson Tide Prediction
The Texas Longhorns looked good in freshman Quinn Ewers' debut at quarterback. Ewers went 16-for-24 with 225 yards passing. He threw two touchdowns and an interception. I'm not going to sit here and say Ewers look terrific. He got a lot of yards in the air from yards after the catch. He's surrounded by many playmakers, including Bijan Robinson, who had 71 yards and a touchdown on just ten carries in their win against UL Monroe. Still, it's hard to imagine that Texas can keep up with Alabama. In college football, beating teams like Alabama, Georgia, and Ohio State is a pipe dream. The talent gap is major. The Crimson Tide didn't allow a single point against Utah State. The rushing defense was stunning, and the coverage was extremely good for Alabama. It will be much more of a challenge going up against Texas, but Alabama's always up for those challenges. Conversely, Alabama didn't get the best performance from Bryce Young. Young went 18-for-28 for 195 yards and five touchdowns. The touchdowns were great, but he only completed 18 of 28 against Utah State. That's something to nitpick if you're Alabama. Young also had five carries for 100 yards, with one of those carries resulting in a touchdown. At this point, I would say that both teams still need better quarterback play. Young, of course, has more experience and is a Heisman hopeful. He'll likely outplay Ewers, who is just getting comfortable in college football.
The Longhorns also missed plenty of tackles in their last game against UL Monroe, which they won't be able to afford to do against the Crimson Tide. This game has Georgia/Oregon vibes. Give me Alabama -19.
