Shapen had to step in last year in some key games, and he was great. He was very good in week one and will be the man responsible for the Bear's offensive success this year. This is a team that was very good on the defensive side of the ball last year, and they should be once again. BYU is led at the quarterback position by Jaren Hall. Hall has been very impressive at BYU but will have a tough test tonight against this Bears defense. He will also be without his top two wide receivers, who are both out for tonight’s game. BYU comes in as a -2.5 point favorite.
I am on the dog for this game. I love Baylor getting points here. I understand they are the road team, but they should not be getting three points. They are the superior team, and they are used to playing in hostile environments. BYU is also missing their top two wide receivers in this game which will play a factor for sure. I am very high on this Baylor offense, and I trust that they can put up points and get it done on the road.
