Jordan Addison/Tank Bigsby TD + Jalen McMillan o59.5 Rec yards +347 (Bet $100 to win $347)
Let's start with Jordan Addison to score a touchdown because he’s once again found himself in a good matchup. Last week, we took the USC wideout for 1 touchdown at -135, this week the books have adjusted the price to -200, making it a prime parlay piece.
Addison was the star receiver in the portal this summer, after recording 17 touchdowns last season with Pittsburgh. He’s started the year on the same trajectory, recording 4 touchdowns in 2 games thus far. With a total currently set at 72, books are clearly expecting offense in this USC vs Fresno State matchup. I find it incredibly hard to believe that USC scores between 4-5 touchdowns without their star receiver finding his way into the endzone.
I was originally going to pivot to rushing yards here, but I actually like continuing the trend with touchdowns bets here. Tank Bigsby is a very interesting target on Saturday, and I’m liking him overs here tonight. Auburn finds themselves in what is the toughest matchup of the season, after crushing Mercer and taking care of business in a competitive game vs SJSU. Bigsby has 29 attempts, 198 rushing yards, and 3 touchdowns combined in those games, serving as the clear lead back.
With suspect quarterback TJ Finlay under center, this team is going to want to limit turnovers and control the ball on the ground to the best of their ability. The Penn State secondary is strong, but the rush defense has yet to be tested so far. Auburn’s offensive line is strong and built to survive against SEC opponents, I think Bigsby has a big game here tonight. He’s second in the nation in broken tackles so far, let's break one at the goalline.
Lastly we’re going to be trusting Jalen McMillan, in this high-powered Washington offense. Deciding between McMillian and Berger for the final leg of this parlay was tough, but I’ll take advantage of a weak MSU secondary here. They were one of the worst secondaries in the nation last season, especially on explosive plays, allowing over 320 passing yards per game. McMillian has been great this season, going 9 for 214 with 3 touchdowns in 2 games.
The last game was played without wideout Rom Odunze, but he still cashed this ticket with him in game 1. This is expected to be a competitive game, I think Washington moves the ball through the air fairly well despite MSU’s best effort. With receptions of 44 and 84 already this season, he could cash this bet on 1 play. Doubling up on my Penix bet from earlier this week, I think Washington performs well tonight.
