ANALYSIS

Alabama vs. Vanderbilt Prediction, Pick, Odds: Will Bryce Young and Alabama Shine In SEC Opener?

Bryce Young and the Alabama Crimson Tide look to make it a 4-0 start as they host the Vanderbilt Commodores in each team’s conference opener.

Nick Saban’s squad took all they could handle in their week two matchup against the Texas Longhorns, however, both before and after their trip to Austin, it’s been easy pickings for the Tide. Bryce Young and co. have covered two monstrous numbers this season as they blew out Utah State as 41.5 favorites, 55-0 in week one and did much of the same, this past weekend where they defeated ULM 63-7 as 49.5 favorites.

Alabama vs. Vanderbilt Prediction

While ever betting against Nick Saban doesn’t usually work out for the general public, make no mistake about it, the Crimson Tide will win this Football game…and probably extremely comfortably. However, since these two schools’ first meeting all the way back in 1907, there’s only been ONE instance where the (40.5) number would’ve covered and that was their last meeting in 2017, where Alabama thumped the Commodores, 59-0. However, that was one of the worst Vanderbilt teams of all time as Vandy went 1-7 in SEC play that year, their only win being against Tennessee, who coincidentally enough went 0-8 in conference play in 2017. Bama wins…but Vandy covers.
