Air Force vs. Nevada Prediction

The Nevada Wolfpack and the Air Force Falcons will battle things out on Friday night. Nevada enters play, losing two games in a row and holding a record of 2-2 overall on the season. Air Force is coming off a disappointing loss to Wyoming, and they bring a 2-1 record into play.

Nevada is not the same kind of Nevada team that we have seen in years past with Carson Strong at the helm. They have struggled on offense at times this season, including last week when they got shut out by Iowa. Their defense was brutal the week before when they lost to Incarnate World. They will look to bounce back in a big way tonight on the road as twenty-four-point underdogs.

Air Force is typical Air Force running their triple options and rarely throwing the football. Even though teams know that they will be running the football, they still have been able to do it with a ton of success. The Falcons are led this season by senior Hazziq Daniels. Daniels has been impressive in the young season. Nevada will need to come prepared to stop the Air Force triple option tonight, or this could be a long game for the Wolf Pack.

I will be backing the team total under of the Falcons tonight, which is sitting at 35.5. Hold your breath on this one because we will have to sweat a bit but overall, I think this number is a tick too high. Nevada was able to hold Iowa to twenty-seven points, and I know Iowa does not have a great offense, but I think that they have a better O-line than Air Force does. The second thing is the pace that Air Force operates. Even if they are scoring a lot of times, these possessions bleed the clock. We may only need two or three stops all game from the Wolf Pack to cash in. Let’s sweat this one out and cash in!
