BYU vs. Wyoming Prediction: Can Wyoming Clear their Team Total?
Saturday is going to be one of the greatest days of all time for me. My wife is taking the kids to Canoe Lake at about 3:00 pm ET. They're going with their friends and leaving another husband and me behind for a day of gambling on college football. It's going to be glorious. Just know that I'm only telling you all this because I need you to understand just how serious I am about Saturday's card. It's extremely important to make sure all goes well because I have no clue when this could happen again. Like when am I just going to be able to hang out and watch college football uninterrupted for pretty much the entire day? See what I mean? Now I don't have the early part done yet, but I can already tell you that the late slate is all set. This bet will cap off the day right since it has a 0.0% chance of losing.

Wyoming Team Total Over 13.5 (-120) (Bet $120 to win $100)
We're at DraftKings for this one since none of the other Big 3 have team totals for this game. I'm not much of a complainer but what the hell is that all about? Why no team totals? This country was built on team totals and now we only have them up at one book? That's disgusting and I hate it. Still, technically we only need this line to be at one book if we want to bet it so there is that. DraftKings it is.
Am I a Wyoming guy? No. Never been there. Heard it's nice this time of year but we're not here to talk about geography. This game isn't even being played in Wyoming. We're here to talk football and betting. Two of my favorite things to talk about. And right now, the idea that we only have to score two touchdowns (and convert both extra points) to grab some cash has me fired up. Derivative markets are my favorite because every now and then you get weird numbers like this.
Is Wyoming a good football team? Who really knows? They're 3-1 right now and coming off of a win against a heavily favored Air Force team so they have that going for themselves. Obviously, we don't want to bet teams that are coming off of big wins but let's break rules today. Why not? Especially since we aren't really betting on them. They could lose 42-14 for all we care. As long as they score at least 14 points like they've done for the past three games in a row, we're fine.
There's another rule I don't break much and it's the don't bet a decent team after a tough loss rule. A team like BYU after a tough loss to a team like Oregon. But I already explained, we're not really betting against BYU here. We just want 14 points and after watching the Cougars give up 200+ rushing yards to Oregon last week, I think we just might get a couple of touchdowns from Wyoming. The Cowboys' quarterback, Andrew Peasley can run. He's got 145 yards in four games. Bo Nix was out there running wild on BYU last week so let's not act like Peasley can't have similar success. The Cougars have given up at least 20 points to everyone they've played this season. Why not at least 14 to Wyoming?
