Is there a better way to end the day of college football than with the Beavers and the Trojans? This game looks like an easy USC win but once we delve into it more we will see that USC hasn't been that good this year and is a very overrated team who could be upset tonight.

USC is Hollywood we expect things to be bigger there as they added QB Caleb Williams and WR Jordan Addison and this high-flying offense has been great but and yes there is always a but beating Rice (insert joke here), Stanford (two turnovers inside the five) and Fresno with a backup QB isn't going to make us believers that USC can hang with the big boys from the SEC and Big Ten just yet.
The USC defense is not that good and that's why this game will be a shootout and it could be the last score wins. After the Fresno QB went down last week do you know that Fresno had six drives in the second half all ending in USC territory but for one reason or another only got seven points? That's not happening with these high-flying Beavers who have impressed us with blowout wins and beat this Fresno team with their starting QB in there for the whole game.
Last year was last year but the Beavers ran for 322 yards and got 535 total yards in a victory over these same Trojans by 18 points on the road as a double-digit dog. You can fix the offense but you didn't fix the defense just yet there, Mr. Riley. Stanford had an interception and a fumble costing them 14 points as both happened inside the four-yard line. These are lucky breaks USC has been getting all year.
The USC defense is giving up 177 yards rushing a game and Oregon State is getting 192 a game so we know the Beavers want to wear down this defense and keep the superstars off the field. Oregon State's game plan is very simple as they will run the ball and don't make mistakes and they will be in this game until the end.
The USC offense has looked incredible all year. We have the new star QB, we have the stud receiver but their running backs also rushed for over nine yards a carry and they both got over 100 yards for the first time in four years. Coach Riley knows this is his first challenge and really the only challenge this month when he said "They do a very good job with their personnel groupings," first-year USC coach Lincoln Riley said. "They're very creative with the personnel they use. They've certainly got a system they believe in and style of offense they believe in."
This team is the team that gets little credit but they play the game well with fundamentals. The key to USC's season has been 10 turnovers because they have none and the other teams have ten. That is great but the Beavers won't make those same mistakes and being at home is a huge edge tonight as it will be pandemonium with a chance to beat the seventh-ranked Trojans.
Throw out the trends, throw out the numbers. This is a statement game for both teams and being undefeated at home is a huge edge tonight. If we don't throw out the trends we see that the Beavers are 6-0 in September in their last six, they are 8-1 their last nine at home and tons of other great trends off their recent performances. There is only one way to go. Let's see if we can get the outright but we will gladly take the six points with the Beavers tonight against the Trojans and let's hope everyone's night ends happy and safe with an upset winner.
