Kentucky vs. Ole Miss Prediction
Kentucky comes into this game with a 4-0 record. Both of these teams had scares last week versus some lower-level opponents. Kentucky barely escaped versus Northern Illinois and Ole Miss barely escaped versus Tulsa. I honestly believe both of these teams overlooked them for this week's matchup.
Both of these teams have talent on both sides of the ball. Ole Miss' priority on the offensive side of the ball is to run the ball. Ole Miss is currently third in college football in rushing yards this season. Kentucky is 25th in rushing defense this year only 108.3 yards per game. That Kentucky run defense is going to be really tested. They have honestly been tested this season, unlike Ole miss.
Kentucky has played at Florida this year and really dominated Florida in all aspects of that game. Ole Miss' toughest game has been Tulsa. So, in reality, Ole Miss hasn't really faced nobody this season. Ole Miss is led by former USC quarterback Jaxson Dart who has done enough to win this season.
His numbers aren't anything special but he is doing what he needs to do to win. Kentucky is led by future NFL draft pick Will Levis. Levis on the other hand has been very good for Kentucky this season. Levis has thrown for 1100+ yards with 10 touchdowns. He has shown the NFL scouts he is ready to make the jump.
This game going to be one of the best games of the day. Both of these teams have athletes all over the field. The biggest difference in this game is going to be the experience between both of these teams. This Kentucky team has seniors all over the place on both sides of the ball. They have an offensive line that has played a lot of games together and their skills position is a lot of veterans also. Leading the way at receiver is senior Tayvion Robinson and senior running back Kavosiey Smoke. This Kentucky team is very experienced, and this Ole Miss team has a long of young talent on both sides of the ball.
This game is going to be a lot closer than the spread indicates. They are giving a very experienced Kentucky team 7 points on the road is crazy. Kentucky is used to playing in hostile territory. Already took out Florida at the Swamp. This game will be no different for Kentucky. I really love a veteran team in this spot. Kentucky has a great coach in Mark Stoops who will for sure have his team ready for this matchup. This game will be close down to the end and honestly wouldn't expect Kentucky to get their second top 25 road win of the season. But we are taking the cautious route and taking the spread. Kentucky should keep this game very close all game and should easily cover this spread.
