This New Mexico team has really improved since last season. Last year they had a lot of problems within the program, and it looks like they figure it out for the most part. UNLV brings in a high-powered offense to this matchup. But their defense has allowed some points on the season. Their defense has allowed 20+ in every game this season. I expect New Mexico to find the endzone once before halftime.

This play is honestly one of my favorite plays this Friday night. I feel this team total is way too low for this kind of game. Like New Mexico's offense isn't anything too amazing. But they have shown that they can score points. Other than getting shutout last weekend they have scored some points. This total is way too low in my opinion. New Mexico has a dual-threat Quarterback who has some speed behind him. I expect him to break loose for at least one big play. UNLV has been destroyed this year by the big play. So with this team total set at 6.5, I really expect New Mexico to cover this with ease.

New Mexico's defense is alright and nothing special. But they do have the potential to set up their offense in good field position. Another reason I really like this bet is that UNLV plays a very up-tempo offense, so we are going to get a lot of opportunities to get the ball. When teams play very face you give yourself way more opportunities to make a bet like this hit. UNLV may jump out to an early lead, but I can't see New Mexico laying down for them at all.
