Things just have not clicked for SMU this season as they have blown multiple second-half leads and overall have been really sloppy. The thing that has not been sloppy with SMU this season is their ability to move the ball. SMU got a ton of yards in their matchup last week against UCF but was not able to turn them into points. They have been very inefficient in the red zone this season but Navy has also been very bad on defense.
Navy is one of the worst defensive teams in the conference and is in the bottom half of the country in yards allowed per play. Navy has played very well in the underdog role this season but has struggled on defense and on the other side, SMU has really struggled against the number as well.

So for this game, I am rolling with Tanner Mordecai OVER 309.5 passing yards at -115 (DraftKings) for 1U as I believe he will be able to light up Navy through the air. Seth Henigan and the Memphis offense were able to put up 400+ passing yards against Navy and SMU is a very close corollary to Memphis so I like the Matchup for Mordecai and the SMU offense tonight.
