Wisconsin vs. Purdue Prediction

The Badgers of Wisconsin have a new lease on life following the firing of Paul Chryst just a few weeks ago. Since Chryst's departure, the Badgers crushed Northwestern to the tune of a 42-7 score but would come back down to earth, this past weekend, when they lost in overtime to Michigan State, 34-28. Despite the loss to Sparty, the Badgers have passed the eye test, something they certainly didn't do before the firing of Chryst.

Meanwhile, Purdue has been white hot since a narrow 32-29 loss to the still-unbeaten Syracuse Orange, back in week 3. The Boilermakers started the season 1-2 with losses to Penn State as well as the aforementioned Orange, however, it's been smooth sailing ever since for Jeff Brohm's squad. Purdue did almost have a hiccup against Florida Atlantic in week 4 but has rattled off four-straight wins over the likes of FAU, in addition to Minnesota, Maryland, and Nebraska, this past weekend.

Wisconsin vs. Purdue Pick

It's quite tricky trying to pick this one. Since Paul Chryst was fired in Madison, Wisconsin has looked like a better football team. Despite losing to Michigan State in OT, this past weekend, the Badgers have shown heart, something they didn't do toward the latter part of Chryst's tenure, earlier this season. However, as previously mentioned, Purdue has been one of the best teams in the Big 10 over the last month. With the team's only loss being to top-25 teams in the form of Penn State and Syracuse, the Boilermakers are ready to make a run at the seemingly wide-open Big 10 West. That should continue on Saturday afternoon.
