Virginia is a team who has had somewhat of a disappointing season. They come into this game with a record of 2-4 and their only wins have come against FCS Richmond (didn't cover) and a 2-point victory over ODU (again, didn’t cover).
Virginia lost some key pieces from last season but they retained star quarterback, Brennan Armstrong, who just has not been able to recreate his same success from last season. Armstrong is averaging 227 yards per game and has thrown 5 touchdowns to 7 interceptions while averaging 30 rushing yards per game as well. Not the best numbers for a guy who threw for just under 4500 yards last season, but I do think he has a very good matchup tonight against a poor GT defense. Check out our CFB picks for the day.

GT has struggled against mobike QBs such as Jaxon Dart for Ole Miss and John Rhys Plumlee for UCF. Armstrong will not just sit back in the pocket and wait to be sacked. He is extremely elusive and very good at using his legs to create plays downfield or scramble for 1st downs. I also think this is a prime regression spot for Georgia Tech.
They have played well above their capabilities the past 2 weeks and won 2 straight games as underdogs and now the narrative / Line dynamic flips here as they are home favorites. I think Virginia goes down into Atlanta and gets the outright win tonight so I am rolling with VIRGINIA +3 at -108 for 1U as one of my most confident College Football Picks of the Night.
