Best Week 7 College Football Player Props: Bo Nix and More

This weekend gives us plenty of exciting football matchups and that's perfect for us and we can make some money doing it with our CFB Week 7 bets.

Bo Nix o3 Total Touchdowns

This is a Prize Picks line right here, but I also do like o2.5 passing TDs +150 and o0.5 rushing TDs -120 as pivots here. I ended up taking o0.5 rushing touchdowns in addition to this spot, I would have priced it at -150. This Oregon vs UCLA is one of the highest totals on the slate, and I’m expecting some offense in Eugene. Oregon started out the season getting absolutely obliterated by Georgia but has taken care of business since then. In his last 5 games, he has:

• 3 Total TD’s vs Arizona (3/3 Rushing)
• 4 Total TD’s vs Stanford (2 Passing/2 Rushing)
• 3 Total vs WSU (3/3 Passing)
• 5 Total vs BYU (3 Passing/3 Rushing)
• 5 Total vs ESU (5 Passing)

Bo Nix has an insane hold over the Ducks' red zone plays and accounts for 20 of their 33 touchdowns this season (that's crazy). UCLA has an absolutely electric offense, but a lackluster defense (hence the 70.5-point total). Their offense can keep them in contention with anyone in the nation, and I’m expecting an incredibly close game. UCLA has played in back-to-back 70+ point games against ranked opponents, allowing Penix to throw for 4 touchdowns and Rising to rush for 2. Nix can't be game-scripted out here, whether they’re ahead or trailing, I expect him to find himself in the endzone quite often. 

Will Shipley TD

To give yourself the best shot at getting good lines, Prize Picks is a necessity in the CFB world. While this is between -135 to -200 on the sportsbook, you can get the value on Prize Picks in a 2-pick power play. Will Shipley is the Clemson lead back, and his main threat in this category is D.J. Uiagalelei. The Clemson quarterback has been more willing to run this season and definitely can be a red zone presence if needed. With a team total set at 31.5 versus a weak Syracuse defense, there should be plenty of opportunities.

One of the biggest reasons I like this prop is because I think Clemson will be in control of this one. I understand that Syracuse has been on a good run this season, but they haven't faced a defense like Clemson yet. A lot of their run game, through Sean Tucker and Garrett Shrader, has been very efficient this year. This Clemson D-line will be an incredibly tough task, and I think that puts Clemson in a great position to constantly run the ball. Shipley is a tough runner and the obvious choice in those short and intermediate situations.
