Nebraska leads the all-time series 13-5, but the Illini have won the last two seasons. They will look to continue that with a big road win over the Cornhuskers today. Illinois has had a promising season to this point, representing a record of 6-1 on the year. They are currently ranked seventh in the nation, and they are looking to continue to compete for a Big Ten Championship.

Syracuse transfer Tommy DeVito took over the offense this season and has been outstanding for the Illini. The best quality of DeVito so far has been his ability to take care of the football. He has just thrown two interceptions the entire season so far, which has put them in good positions to win games. This is a team that also has a solid defense, and they have been able to keep teams in check.

Illinois' only season loss came in week two when they lost by a field goal against Indiana. Nebraska, on the other hand, has not enjoyed the same success. They struggled out of the gate and fired former head coach Scott Frost.

One positive for the Cornhuskers is their play as of late. They have won two of their last three, and their loss came on the road against a good Purdue football team. We will see how the Cornhuskers respond at home today and if they can get back to the .500 mark. 

I will be backing Nebraska with the points. I understand this has not been a good team this season, but this is a good spot, and in my eyes, they are playing the best football that they have played all year. This is an offense that I actually trust, and it has not been the offense's fault that they have not won football games.
