UCF vs. Cincinnati Prediction

Both Cincinnati and UCF have elevated their programs into the national spotlight over the past few years as both squads have now had sustained success and been ranked in the top half of the country.

UCF is having a bit of a down year in the national conversation as they come into this game with a record of 5-2 with losses to Louisville and ECU, but I think they are primed for a great performance today. Both of those losses mentioned above came on the road and now UCF is back at home in their comfort zone in the bounce house where they have played their best football over the years. UCF has a very tough task against Cincinnati as the Bearcats come into this game with a record of 6-1 and have not lost since the opening week of the season.

Not all records are created equal though as Cincinnati has played an extremely weak schedule to this point. Their wins on the season have come against Kennesaw St, Miami (OH), Indiana, Tulsa, South Florida and SMU. Those six teams have a combined record of 16-28 and not a single one of them is currently over .500 on the season. Cincinnati just has not passed the eye test to this point as they have in years past as a top-ranked Group of 5 team. Plus, the fact that they are underdogs as a ranked team against an unranked team with a worse record than them is a big line indicator to me to back UCF here today. With that being said, I am rolling with UCF ML at -112 for 1.5u as one of my most confident College Football Picks of the Day.
