Washington vs. Oregon State Prediction
The Huskies of Washington look to make it three straight when Kalen DeBoer’s squad hosts the Oregon State Beavers on PAC-12 Friday Night Football. The Huskies have bounced back nicely from a road loss to an Arizona State squad that may have been only 1-4 heading into the contest. Still, the Sun Devils are riddled with talent and had the always-dangerous new coach bounce after tossing Herm Edwards to the curb following the horrid start. Washington’s only other loss on the season came back in week five on the road against UCLA, who currently sits as the 10th-ranked team in the nation. Indiana-transfer, Michael Penix Jr. has been a breath of fresh air in Seattle as the fifth-year junior has led the country with 2,934 passing yards with and ranks fifth with 22 touchdown passes, thus far.

Meanwhile, Oregon State is one of the new teams inside the top 25 heading into week 10 following their 42-9 throttling of Colorado, this past weekend. Much like Washington, the Beavers’ only losses are quality ones as Jonathan Smith’s guys just came up short in what would’ve been a major upset when they lost 17-14 against USC and Oregon State would have a letdown the following week when they got crushed by 12th-ranked Utah on the road. Since the back-to-back losses against the PAC-12 elite, the Beavers have rattled off three straight wins, defeating the likes of Stanford, Washington State, and most recently, the aforementioned drubbing of Colorado back in week eight.
Washington vs. Oregon State Pick
This is a tricky one. Weird things always happen on Friday nights in the PAC-12 but the thing is, nothing would be strange about either team claiming victory in this one. While oddsmakers are leaning toward the Huskies in this one, perhaps due to the home-field advantage…we’re also leaning that way. Michael Penix Jr. and co. will prove to be too much for the Beavers on Friday night.
