Ohio vs. Buffalo Prediction
Buffalo and Ohio both come into this game with records of 5-3 but Buffalo comes in as the much hotter team. Buffalo started the season at 0-3 with losses to Maryland, Coastal Carolina, and shockingly, Holy Cross which at the time looked like an embarrassing loss. Holy Cross has since emerged as one of the best FCS teams in the nation with a top 10 ranking so maybe losing on a Hail Mary to them in the final seconds does not look as bad now as it did then.

Buffalo now comes into tonight’s matchup on a five-game winning streak and they have been very impressive during that stretch. In those five games, they are 5-0 ATS and have won three of those contests by 19 or more points.
Last week against Toledo, they were down 20-7 at the half and down 27-10 doing into the fourth quarter before scoring 24 unanswered points to finish the game as they knocked off the rockets as seven-point underdogs. From starting 0-3 and winning five straight to a 17-point fourth-quarter comeback, this team has shown a lot of resiliency all season and they will need all they can get against a solid Ohio team.
Buffalo wants to establish the run with Ron Cook Jr. and Ohio likes to pass the ball but overall these offenses are very similar in terms of overall production. Where I think the difference lies in this game is on the defensive side of the football. Buffalo only allows 25 points per game this season and has only allowed an average of 17 points per game in MAC play.
On the other side, Ohio is allowing 34 points per game and has given up 24 ppg in MAC play including 34 to Akron and 31 to Kent State. Ohio struggled mightily against Kent State’s potent rushing attack as the Bobcats allowed Kent State to rush for 338 yards and gave up 736 total yards of offense.
Buffalo is similar to Kent State in their offensive scheme and I think Ohio will really struggle to stop the run tonight. With that being said, I am rolling with BUFFALO 1H ML at -122 and BUFFALO FULL GAME ML at -130 for 1U each as my most confident College Football Plays of the Day.
Ohio vs. Buffalo Pick
- BUFFALO 1H ML at -122 for 1U. Bet $100 to collect $181.
- BUFFALO FULL GAME ML at -130 for 1U. Bet $100 to collect $176.
