Boston College vs. Duke Prediction

Duke has shown the nation that they are more than a basketball school this year. The Blue Devils have some impressive wins on their resume, and they feel like this is one of the better teams they have had over the last few seasons. They are led by sophomore signal caller Riley Leonard. The best part about Lenoards's game this season has been his ability to protect the football. He has just four interceptions this year which ranks tied for the 30th fewest in the nation. He also ranks 29th in total QBR.

It has been a rough season for Boston College on the other side of things. The Eagles come into play with a record of 2-6. BC has lost three games in a row, including a loss to UConn, who has been one of the worst teams in college football the last few years. They have not been able to get into any kind of flow offensively. This team was very excited about their QB, Phil Jurkovec. Jurkovec was seen as a guy that could potentially be an NFL prospect entering the year, but it has been a house of horrors for him this season. Phil was injured against UConn, and his status for tonight is undetermined but based on the line, I do not think he will play. 

I am taking the team total under on Duke tonight at 30.5. I think this line will drop toward 29.5 or 28.5 as more news comes out with the QB situation for BC. I expect BC to play their backup tonight, which will help this number go under due to pace. BC will run the football a ton, so the clock will often be ticking. As a defense, I think that this team is better than the numbers say, and if they can string some stops together, we will be in a great position to cash this bet tonight.
