Wisconsin's offense has been absolutely dreadful all season. This team hasn't been able to consistently move the ball on offense at all this season. This Maryland defense is also a very scrappy bunch. They tend to allow yards but really buckle down when in the red zone. Coming off a bye week I really expect Maryland to be fully ready for this game.
The big story all week has been if Taulia Tagovailoa is healthy enough to play in this game. Taulia missed the game versus Northwestern and the offense really struggled. But Taulia the brother Of Tua has been a full go all week in practice and is going to play. This is a huge boost for this Maryland team.
Taulia this season has 2000 passing yards with 13 touchdowns on the season. He is having a terrific year for Maryland. He also has his favorite target healthy in Dontay Demus Jr. This team for Maryland has a very high-powered offense and I honestly expect this offense to be in full force today. This Wisconsin offense doesn't have the talent to really keep up with this Maryland team. As long Maryland's defense holds its own versus this weak Wisconsin offense I expect them to cover this spread easily.
This game is going to be won on the offensive side of the ball. Whichever offense can maintain drives and make all the right plays, I expect to win this battle. Wisconsin and Grahm Mertz have been terrible for the most part this season. They come into this matchup 4-4 with a new coach and just looking to finish the season.
This Maryland team has high hopes for a good bowl game this year to continue to put this program on the map. Their Coach Mike Locksley has done a terrific job at turning this program around and has them playing their best football in a very long time.
