TCU vs. Texas Prediction

This is one of the biggest games of the season as the Horned Frogs enter play today ranked fourth in the nation, meaning that as of right now, they are a playoff team and in control of their own destiny. This team has been as big of a surprise as any in college football this year. TCU entered the year unranked and not on many teams' radars.

They were able to get a big win early in the year over Oklahoma, and then they parlayed those wins over three straight-ranked opponents in Kansas, Oklahoma State, and Kansas State. These wins pushed them up to number seven in the nation. The Horned Frogs were able to continue their winning ways when they knocked off West Virginia on the road and most recently, they took care of business at home against Texas Tech. Their toughest test of the season lies straight ahead of them.

Texas comes into this game playing to the tune of a 6-3 record and ranked number eighteen in the nation. The Longhorns would likely have a much better record if it was not for the injury of star QB Quinn Ewers. Ewers was injured early in the season in a game against Alabama that Texas would eventually lose by one point. Ewers is back and healthy for tonight’s game and will look to knock off TCU with a strong showing.

I am all over Texas. This line reminds me exactly of Tennessee vs. Georgia last week. The entire world will be backing TCU tonight, and I will gladly fade. Let’s just look at this like this. TCU is the number four team in team nation, they have not been beaten yet, but we still see this spread heavily in favor of a three-loss Texas team. Some people will think I am crazy for saying this, but Texas is the better team. Like I said earlier if Quinn Ewers did not get hurt. This is a one-loss team. I think the Longhorns roll tonight at home.
