Week 11 College Football Teaser Prediction
Texas vs TCU
Texas is a touchdown road favorite over an undefeated TCU squad for a reason here, they are the better football team. They are outscoring power five opponents by 98 points in the first half this year which is second best only to Georgia. I believe they dominate in the first half today and even if TCU can get back in the game in the second half, Texas should hold on.
I said it in my article last week and I will reiterate it here. I believe the Longhorns are the best three-loss team in the country and might be the best three-loss team in the last few seasons. I spoke about how close all of their losses are already so I will not say it again (go read this article to hear about it) but this team is ten or twelve plays away from being undefeated and legitimately should be 7-1.
They took care of business on the road last week which was a huge step forward for them as they had not won a conference game on the road this season. They got over the hump and now they have college game day at home in Austin against a team they would love to knock off. I think that this game may be closer than the touchdown spread once the second half is played but I really believe they win this one outright so I will tease them down to the pk.
Oregon vs Washington
Bo Nix is having a phenomenal season and should be a Heisman candidate when it is all said and done. The argument for him though is much stronger if the Ducks continue to dominate the rest of their schedule like they have since week one.
Getting stomped by Georgia does not phase me. It was the first week of the season and I would not wish to face the most physical and elite team in college football as the season opener for anyone. It was a tough spot and they got killed but ever since that game they have been electric.
Their margin of victory at home has been great for Oregon all year and I expect that trend to continue here today. Washington is one of those teams that tend to play better at home anyways so this spot is already not ideal for them. The only way I see them staying in this game is if they can keep up offensively and I don't believe they can for four quarters. They win this game by winning the special teams and turnover battle but I don't find that likely, the Ducks should win comfortably.
