The Oregon Ducks host the Utah Utes for an exciting Pac-12 contest Saturday. Will the Utes extend their win streak to five straight wins? Jason Radowitz answers here.
ANALYSIS

Oregon Ducks vs. Utah Utes Prediction, Pick, Odds: Will Utah Utes Extend Win Streak to 5?

The Oregon Ducks were looking like the best team in the Pac-12...Until the Ducks lost to Washington last week on their home field, 37-34. Instead of fighting for a College Football Playoff berth, the Oregon Ducks are playing for a Pac-12 Championship. They're still 8-2 but are currently tied with the Utah Utes for second place in the Pac-12, with a 6-1 conference record. Oregon will have a chance at keeping that two spots on Saturday when they go up against the Utah Utes. Utah has won four straight games since its loss to UCLA. The win streak began with a win against USC. After that win, Utah beat up the bottom of the Pac-12 to get to 6-1 in conference play.

Will Oregon be stunned for the second week in a row? Here are our picks, predictions, and odds, for Saturday's game between the Utah Utes vs. Oregon Ducks.

Oregon Ducks vs. Utah Utes Prediction

The Oregon Ducks controlled their destiny in the Pac-12 heading into last week's game against Washington. But after a loss to Washington, Oregon is no longer in first place in the Pac-12 standings. They'll look to stick around at the top against another highly regarded team like Utah. The Ducks have scored 42.2 points per game while averaging 527.7 yards per game. The offense is led by Bo Nix, who has thrown for 2,775 yards with 24 touchdowns and just five interceptions. Nix is also a primary playmaker in the run game and has a QBR of 89 on the season.

Oregon's been very balanced offensively, with 288.4 yards in the air and 239.3 yards on the ground per game. Throughout the last five games, Oregon scored at least 34 and 42 points in each win this season. On defense, Oregon has held teams to under 400 yards. They've allowed just 108.2 yards per game on the ground but have still allowed nearly 290 yards in the air. The secondary has played well for Oregon, and the pass rush isn't bad. The Ducks will come into this game with a more balanced defense than Utah.

Utah's defense has only allowed 327.9 yards per game. That's because an excellent secondary has held teams to 206.5 yards per game in the air. But the Utes have missed plenty of tackles this season and don't have a consistent pass rush. Up front, they've also allowed 121.4 yards rushing per game. That's another area where Oregon is better defensively.

The Utes have a terrific offense, with 39.5 points scored per game. They've also averaged 462.4 yards per game and have a balanced attack, like Oregon. Cameron Rising has led the team with 19 touchdown passes and just four interceptions. Like Nix, he's also a top-five player in QBR this season. Both quarterbacks have a top-five QBR while playing Pac-12 defenses. What does that tell you? Oregon's favorites in this game by three points. They've scored more than 40 points in every single win this season. Meanwhile, Utah has averaged 39.5 points per game and should be able to add some of their offense. After all, Utah needed 43 points to defeat USC in the middle of October in a 43-42 win.

Let's take the Over 62 in this matchup.
